A girl of 13, who drove off in her father’s car while almost twice over the legal alcohol limit after a family Christmas party, was banned from driving in Britain. The girl, who was 12 at the time of the offence, had drunk two bottles of beer and a vodka drink as well as sneaking sips from other people’s glasses on Christmas Day before setting out on a 35-mile drive to visit a relative. She is believed to be the youngest girl to be brought before the courts for a drink-driving offence.
