Wednesday 5th November 1902

William K. Vanderbilt in a Mors established a new world land speed record of 76.08 mph in Ablis, France. On the same day, in the same country and in the same model of car this record was broken by Henri Fournier, who recorded a speed of 76.60 mph in Dourdan.
