The Paris – Toulouse – Paris road race began

The Paris – Toulouse – Paris road race began. It was run in three stages over three days during a heat wave, and tyre troubles were numerous. Levegh on his Mors covered the distance of 838.08 miles, excluding controls, in 20 hours 50 minutes 9 seconds, an average of 40 miles an hour. Pinson was second in 22 hours 11 minutes 1 second, and Voigt third in 22 hours 11 minutes 51 seconds, each driving a Panhard.
