The inaugural Circuit des Ardennes was run in the vicinity of Bastogne, France. The total distance was 512.05 km (i.e., 85.34 km x 6 laps). The winner was Charles Jarrott (Great Britain), driving a Panhard-Levassor 70 hp in a time of 5:53:39. This was the first major race to run on a closed course instead of from one city to another.
