The first production Lincoln Continental was finished. Originally developed as Edsel Ford’s personal vehicle, the Lincoln Continentals of the 1940s are widely considered to be some of the most beautiful production cars ever made. Continentals were produced by the Lincoln Division of the Ford Motor Company from 1939 to 1948 and again from 1956 to 1980 and 1981 to 2002.
