The C70 model — the first car built by the joint venture between Volvo Cars and Pininfarina (Pininfarina Sverige AB) sharing the Volvo P1 platform used in the S40, was presented. Designed by John Kinsey the coupé convertible featured a three-piece retractable metal hardtop that could be raised or lowered in less than 30 seconds.
