Terry Labonte edged Joe Nemechek to win the Touchstone Energy 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, which currently is tied for the second closest finish in NASCAR Xfinity Series history since electronic scoring was implemented. Labonte took the lead for the third and final time on the final circuit as he raced Nemechek side-by-side coming to the finish. A twenty-three car accident took place on Lap 68 that started when Ken Schrader got turned around.
