Tuesday 21st July 1925

Sir Malcolm Campbell became the first man to break the 150 mph land barrier at Pendine Sands in Wales. He drove a Sunbeam at a two-way average speed of 150.33 mph. To commemorate this he had some large scale models of the Sunbeam built, at least two of which are known to have survived. This car is on display at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, England.
