Rusty Wallace led 376 laps en route to the win in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Wallace won the race over Dale Earnhardt. It was an emotional win for Wallace as he took a Polish Victory Lap in honor of Alan Kulwicki, who lost his life in a plane crash three days earlier.
