Born on this day, Peter Dumbreck, racing driver from Scotland who took the 1998 Japanese Formula 3 title with a record-breaking eight wins out of ten races. In 1999 Peter he momentarily shot to world prominence when he not only survived but walked away uninjured from a horrifying high speed incident during the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans race when his #5 Mercedes-Benz CLR somersaulted into the woods at about 300 km/h.
