Miss Patsy Burt broke the Brighton Speed Trials (England) standing kilometer start record with a time of 20.21 seconds (110.69 mph) in a McLaren Oldsmobile. She was the first lady to win the event and was also the Ladies’ record holder at Shelsley Walsh, the oldest sprint and hill-climb event in Britain, from 1967 to 1978.
