Michael Waltrip won the NASCAR Xfinity (Busch Grand National) Series Budweiser 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. After a caution for leader Chuck Bown and Robert Pressley, Waltrip led the final 95 laps in the No. 30 Pennzoil Pontiac for his sixth of 11 series wins. The race ended under caution following spins by Tommy Houston and Terry Labonte. It was an emotional win for Waltrip when he turned a Polish Victory Lap in honor of Alan Kulwicki, who lost his life in a plane crash two days earlier.
