The sports executive saloon competes against the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and Audi A6. The car, along with the new Quattroporte, was built in the Italian factory of Grugliasco, Turin (former Bertone). The base Ghibli was rated at 330 horsepower, the Ghibli Diesel at 275 horsepower (also 250 in Italy only), and the Ghibli S Q4 at 410 horsepower.
