Kyle Busch won the STP 500 to give him a weekend sweep at Martinsville Speedway. Busch followed his victory in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race the day prior by scoring his first of two NASCAR Cup Series triumphs at the Virginia short track. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver dominated the race leading 352 laps to notch his first win of the season.
