Kevin Harvick battled back after starting last in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway and drove his GM Goodwrench Chevrolet to his first NASCAR Cup Series victory in nearly two years. Despite qualifying 13th in Friday’s qualifying session, Harvick was forced to start 43rd in the race after his crew found a power steering fluid leak on the No. 29 car just prior to race time. Harvick, working his second race without crew chief Todd Berrier, who serving a four race suspension, made his way through the field and took the lead for the final time from Greg Biffle on Lap 434. From there, Harvick able to hold off polesitter Elliott Sadler for his first win since taking the checkered flag in the 2003 Brickyard 400.
