Hyundai was strutting its all-new 2013 Veloster Turbo during the 10-day run of the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. Aimed at the next generation of drivers favoring the sport coupe segment, the Veloster Turbo came equipped with the 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder that produced 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The engine came matched to either an in-house six-speed automatic transmission or six-speed manual gearbox. Among the dozen exclusive Turbo features was sport-tuned engine intake with robust exhaust note (which will delight enthusiasts), sport-tuned steering, unique front fascia, foglights and ground effects, custom 18-inch alloy wheels and LED lighting. Among many exterior paint choices, the Turbo offered a special Matte Gray shade that added to the cars aggressive personality. The Turbo also had a chic Graphite Black four-passenger cockpit containing blue accents and headliner graphics. Like its non-turbo Veloster hatchback sibling, the Turbo provided up to 15.5 cu. ft. of room for all-size sporting gear.
