Henry Ford resigned from the Edison Illuminating Company and with others, organised the Detroit automobile company and taking one-sixth of its shares became Chief Engineer

Henry Ford resigned from the Edison Illuminating Company and with others, organised the Detroit automobile company and taking one-sixth of its shares became Chief Engineer. The company was forced into bankruptcy the following year.
