Henry Ford II fired Ford Motor Company President Semon E ‘Bunky’ Knudsen just 19 months after hiring him away from General Motors. Lee Iacocca was named President of Ford North American Automotive Operations and Robert J Hampson was named President of Ford Non-Automotive Operations.
