Sunday 29th July 2007

ESPN returned after six seasons away from broadcasting NASCAR Sprint Cup events. The Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in Indianapolis was the first NASCAR Sprint Cup race on ESPN since the NAPA 500 in Atlanta on November 19, 2000. ESPN was credited with bringing NASCAR to the masses in the 1980s with live broadcasts of NASCAR Sprint Cup races in an era of tape-delayed highlights.
