Brad Keselowski captured his first Martinsville Speedway win in the STP 500 for his fifth straight top-five finish of that season. Keselowski had to come back from a pit road speeding penalty earlier in the race to get back into contention. Once he got back to the front of the field, he and Kyle Busch put on a classic battle for the lead until Lap 429 when he finally got by for the top spot. The victory was the second of the year for Keselowski and it gave Team Penske its first Martinsville victory since 2004.
