Born on this day, Ove Andersson, Swedish rally driver. He won the Monte Carlo Rally, Rallye Sanremo, Österreichische Alpenfahrt and Acropolis Rally all in 1971 as well as seven podium places in his 28 outings in the World Rally Championship and the first head of Toyota’s F1 program. Andersson died in a vintage rally car crash in 2008.
