Born on this day, Alberto Rodriguez Larreta, Argentine racing driver. A talented allrounder, ‘Larry’ Larreta drove single seaters, sports, the popular domestic Turismo Carretera series and long distance races in his native Argentina. For the 1960 Argentine Grand Prix he bought himself into Team Lotus and finished ninth on his only outing in an F1 race.
