A small group of angry shopkeepers brought one of Mexico City’s main traffic routes to a halt. Thousands of vehicles were trapped in a twenty kilometre traffic jam on the Periferico ring road as they protested against lack of action against street hawkers. For motorists it was a second frustrating day, after torrential rains brought floods on the 6th.
