A replica of the assembly line for Ford Model T cars at the Ford Motor Company’s Highland Plant, near Michigan, US, was exhibited at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco. The assembly line operating three hours each afternoon turned out 20 cars a day for several months. Such was the public interest that a three-tier platform was erected permitting four rows of spectators to view the industrial exhibit in comfort.
