A pioneer of bodysurfing and bodyboarding, Joe Wolfson (50), aka Dr. 360, was killed when his car veered off the Marina Freeway, California went down an embankment, and hit a tree. Facing terminal cancer, he had previously left a note and paddled out to sea to die, but was rescued when he went comatose.
