A driver set a British record for the wrong reasons after being allowed to keep his licence despite accruing 45 penalty points. The unnamed Liverpudlian was collared eight times in seven months for speeding and not declaring who was behind the wheel.
But because he proved to a magistrate he would suffer hardship without his car, he has repeatedly swerved an automatic driving ban.
