10 Electric Cars Arriving In 2018

The shift to electrifying the automobile industry is well underway. More and more automobile manufacturers are devoting whole teams of engineers to better understand the space and develop a car of their own to give consumers what they have long been asking for. Last year we did a similar , but since then a lot has changed, we figured that it is appropriate to compile the following list of electric vehicles coming out in 2018. The vehicles we may soon see gracing the roads around us include:

Toyota Supra

This electric vehicle may only be available in concept this year but we still felt it should be included because of its incredible design. Modeled largely after the BMW Z4, the Supra aims to be a far cheaper alternative to the luxury car brand. If not this year, certainly the year after, we will see this EV hitting the streets near you.

Mercedes Project One

Perhaps the closest this to a true F1 series car on this list. Project One will be released this year and pack quite a punch. Said to have zero to sixty speeds on par with formula one vehicles and have well over 1,000 horsepower, we can’t wait to see the final product.

This EV is Volvo’s direct response to Tesla’s Model 3 and Model X. It is said to have over 500 horsepower meaning this will be one fun car to drive. Because they only plan to manufacture 500 of them this year, you can expect to pay a pretty penny to get your hands on one in the near future.

BMW i8 Roadster

While the all electric range of this car is only 30 miles, the power and speed of it more than make up for this shortcoming. Topping out at 155 miles per hour, this car can dominate other EV’s. It also has a zero to sixty speed of just under 4.6 seconds which means it has plenty of pickup. BMW loyalists may find this a great option if they are in the market for an electric vehicle.
